Best Time to Visit Inner Mongolia
Best Jun–Sep. Grasslands greenest Jun–Aug; Naadam usually Jul–Aug (check dates). Sep brings golden grass and autumn colors. Winter (–30°C) is for ice fishing and the ice lantern festivals.

- Distances: Hulunbuir is vast — Hailar to Shiwei is ~300km. We structure days at ~250–350km with scenic stops and yurt overnights.
- Yurt stays: Modern yurt resorts (Jinzhanghan, Molidawa) have en-suite bathrooms and heating. The authentic nomad experience is a day trip from them.
- Naadam timing: The main Naadam festival is around July 15 in Xilingol; local versions run through summer. We confirm exact dates before you book.
